The following is a brief
outline about our studio, Belmar, our photographic artist, Terry Stormes, and Barbara,who
assists at weddings and designs albums. Information on how to contact us is included
at the bottom of this page, if you have questions or comments, please do.
Belmar studio has existed for over thirty years in Clearwater, Florida and
has enjoyed a reputation for fine portraiture and wedding photography for many
years. Terry and Barbara purchased the studio in 1989 and have furthered that
reputation with exciting, creative photography, flexible custom wedding coverage, and a
friendly, service-oriented attitude.
Terry is a PPA-certified Photographic
Craftsman who has won many awards in local, state, and international competitions. He is a
member of local and international professional organizations, and is a former president of
Suncoast Professional Photographers Association, Bay Area Bridal Association, and the
Florida Professional Photographers. He is a graduate of Indiana State University and
continues to further his education by attending classes, seminars, working and exchanging
ideas with other professionals from around the world, and by instructing professional
photography groups.
Barbara is a graduate of Ball State University and has taught
public speaking and English on the high school level, and public speaking at the
junior college level. She is currently an adjunct instructor for Pasco-Hernando
Community College. Her benefits to the bride prior to, during, and after the wedding
are immeasurable. The wedding albums that she designs flow beautifully to create a
storybook that makes viewers feel as though they experienced the event in person.
PPA CERTIFIED : Professional Photographers of America's
certification program recognizes members who possess a high level of technical skill and
creativity. The certification process includes a written exam, image judging and a
reference check.
PHOTOGRAPHIC CRAFTSMAN DEGREE : Professional Photographers of America's
recognition to a member for service to the profession as an orator, author, and mentor.
